In 2001, our work arose from an inner need to respond to the endemic crisis that children are experiencing in the State of Oaxaca. We have been fighting for the protection and acknowledgment of children’s rights ever since.

Over the past years we have cared for more than 100 children between the ages of 3 weeks to 12 years. At present we are caring for approximately 30 children, the number fluctuates. The children’s mothers are poor, marginalized women with very limited resources. The majority of the women are single mothers and pursue night-time employment.

We offer the children the right to develop in an environment of respect and love. It is important to us that the children in our home feel well cared for as well as safe and secure. We provide the children with a safe haven, basic education, clothes, materials; psychological, medical, dental care, recreation and, most importantly, a place that gives each child individualized attention with the love and affection it needs.
