Soléxico provides students of all levels with intensive, interactive
programs designed to meet the needs of each student.
Courses begin each
Monday year-round and consist of sessions of 50 minutes with breaks
in between.
Upon arrival, students are given placement exams to determine their Spanish
levels.

Regular Program 25
|
25 lessons per week
Courses are held from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and are composed
of 3 lessons of conversational grammar and 2 lessons
of practical conversation and/or lectures.
This program consists of classes with a maximum of 5 students per teacher.

Individual Program |
15 individual lessons
10 group lessons per week
This is an accelerated, personalized program that consists of 3 lessons
of individual instruction and 2 hours of conversation and lectures
in groups with no more than 5 students per teacher.
The individual instruction
is offered in the afternoon.

Executive Program |
25 group lessons
15 individual lessons per week
Students in the executive program receive 3 hours of intensive, 1
on 1 instruction in addition to the 5 hours course of
our Regular Program.

Professional Programs 25 |
15 General Spanish Group lessons
10 Professional field Individual
lessons per week
Courses are held from 9am to 2pm
from Monday through Friday.
It is possible to add 1 individual
lesson per day to any of these programs.
These special programs were designed
for those who interact with Spanish speakers in their professional
fields.
The programs we offer are:

Spanish for the Tourism Industry

Educators of Spanish as a Second Language Program 25 |
10 General Spanish Group lessons
15 Spanish Educators individual
lessons per week
This program combines a general Spanish conversation program
in groups of no more than 5 students with 15 individual lessons for Educators
of Spanish as a Second Language and is held from 12:20 p.m.
to 5:30 p.m.,
Monday through Friday.

Soléxicos staff of professional
Mexican teachers, with more than
15 years of teaching experience, is specially trained to maximize the students´ learning
potentials.
All of Soléxicos instructors have taken courses on
Spanish as a Second Language, and some have Education, Business Administration
and Marketing degrees as well.
Each instructor is amply qualified to instruct,
but our instructors are also unique in their patience, attentiveness and eagerness to interact with and assist students, all of which creates
a comfort level and friendship between student and teacher.

Our Courses/Levels |


|
At Soléxico we focus on the conversational ability of
the students though writing, comprehension, pronunciation, grammar and reading
are also emphasized. Following are descriptions of the grammatical points covered
in each level.
Beginner Spanish I
Gender and number, definite and indefinite articles,
adjectives, the verbs "estar", "haber" and "ser",
demonstratives, regular and irregular verbs in present tense, direct pronouns
(part I).
Beginner Spanish II
Irregular verbs in present tense (part II), present
progressive, present perfect and preterit tense, reflexive verbs, direct and
indirect pronouns in the same sentence.
Intermediate Spanish I
Imperfect tense, imperfect progressive and
preterit progressive tenses, preterit and imperfect in the same sentence,
accidental verbs, comparisons, past perfect tense.
Intermediate Spanish II
Future tense, conditional tense,
passive voice, comparisons of "por" and "para",
familiar and formal commands.
Advanced Spanish I
Subjunctive mode (present
and past).
Advanced Spanish II
In depth analysis and review of all the
grammatical points seen in the previous levels.
Advanced Spanish III
Analysis of literature, newspapers, journals
and other material, Grammatical review.

Lectures and Activities |
 |
During the conversation hours, lectures are given
in Mexican history, Zapotecan culture, national
holidays, etc
Soléxicos books and materials were written by our Academic
Director and have been improved over the years with the help of our qualified instructors
to create the perfect support for our classes.
Our Academic team updates the
materials frequently and adds new worksheets, visual aids and the latest
methodology for teaching Spanish as a Second Language.
A Syllabus is available to anyone who needs one.

Afternoon Workshops |
We offer afternoon workshops and activities that include, cooking, arts
and crafts,
salsa classes, singing Mexican songs, a fiesta or a picnic.
Students at Soléxico
meet once a week with the staff and faculty for "Café Social".
A movie is shown each week during one of the conversation classes, and all
students wishing to test and improve their auditory comprehension are welcome

Certificate |
 |
Upon completion of your course, Solexico will provide a certificate of your studies.
The certificate will include your name, the number of hours studied, the dates of your course and the course material you studied while in Solexico.
